From a very young age art has always played an important role in my Iife. From finding a passion for ceramics in college to making quilts for my children, I have always felt a need to create.

I enjoy working with transparent watercolor because of its clarity and brilliance. Every one of my works is a learning experience.  Blending colors can lead to unexpectedly pleasing results. It can be a humbling process, never knowing for sure how a painting will turn out. Remaining patient,  flexible, and open to changing my path will often lead to a successful painting.

I have a wide variety of interests and experiences which are reflected in my subject matter. I paint what I know and love, hiking, mountains, architecture, places I have traveled, and my loved ones.
