About Me

As a child, a new box of crayons or a fresh tin of watercolors was the best gift I could receive. I was interested in all types of art thoughout my childhood, and always had a project I was working on. While I earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from SUNY Fredonia, I took several electives in art.  In ceramics classes I combined my interest in clay and architecture by designing and constructing miniture buildings.  Later, as a mother I designed and sewed quilts for my children with appliques of their favorite things. After raising a family with my husband, Jack, and tutoring elementary and middle school students, I was lucky to able to pursue painting full time. For the past 20 years I have exhibited my work at numerous juried art festivals and shows in and around Rochester.  I am a signature member of the Western New York Watercolor Society. The pandemic temporarily stopped art shows, but on the bright side, it gave me more time to paint.
